Jomo Gamal Thomas is the founder of J.G. Thomas & Associates, P.C., a NY law firm. Jomo grew up in Roosevelt and Uniondale, NY. During his teenage years, he was active as a motivational speaker, community organizer and activist with the Economic Opportunity Commission of Nassau County and Operation Outreach. He was a co-founder of CBD Labs, a Washington D.C. based venture capital group. Jomo has appeared in Newsday and was a featured guest on the Tavis Smiley NPR Radio show. He hosts inspirational radio show called We Care Radio that broadcasts in NY every Friday on 93.5 FM at 6:00AM.
Jomo founded Niche Lab Capital Group, which financed Latino Money Magazine and Black Wealth & Fortune Magazine. Jomo is a public speaker and has lectured at colleges, universities, community centers, and religious institutions. He was the former editor of the George Washington University Law School Corporate & Business Law Journal. He graduated with honors in Economics from Brandeis University. He was an AEA Summer Minority Scholar at Stanford University. He received a JD from the George Washington University Law School.
